Acoustics & Gear

Analog signal chain

The tracking room was left untreated to preserve the natural decay of wood and stone. Microphones were placed at distance to capture the physical space around each instrument rather than isolated close-miking.

All sessions were recorded directly to a two-inch Studer deck running at fifteen inches per second. Compression was applied sparingly during tracking to protect transient peaks and preserve the natural dynamics of the room.

Session Work

Solitary tracking

Written and performed without backing tracks or auxiliary personnel. Every instrument was played in real time within the room, relying on natural mic bleed and instrument resonance.

Artist Statement
